  My concern in this book is to show how to preserve our traditions and religious practices at a time when alien and pernicious ideas just keep creeping in, thus urging us to raise questions about our cultural particularities and the suitable manner to preserve our identity. In the course of this work, I have referred to the notion of identity through the concept of “identity crisis”; I have laid bare the dramatic changes undergone by Moroccan women while embracing the European model.
